BREAKING: Man arrested after shooting outside Medway Campus

There has been a shooting in Chatham dockside, next to the University of Kent's Medway Campus, Police have confirmed.


Footage has shown a man on top of one of Chatham’s high-rise apartments opposite the historic dockyard firing a weapon randomly below, which occurred between 8am and 9am.


The incident has since ended and resulted in an arrest.


The video, released by Sky News and KMTV, shows a man walking out of a top-floor room overlooking the Chatham dockyards and firing a number of shots into the air.


Police found four imitation firearms inside the man’s apartment after a brief armed raid in the building.


Kent Police confirm they are still at the scene and advise residents to avoid the area.
